Beach #1

Fourth of July at the beach. I even got Krista to put on the headband.

James conked out watching the fireworks. Dad had to prop his head up so he could snooze.

Megan's swimming improved so much at the beach I cancelled her swim lessons when we got back home. And it was all due to my dad's awesome teaching.

View from the top deck.

Junie B. Jones

My mom got tickets to see a local production of Junie B. Jones and a Little Monkey Business. Megan loves the Junie B. books and enjoyed the play. I can't believe how long her hair was here too.

Dance Recital May 2010

Megan finished up her Combo classes last May. She was taking a ballet/tap combined class. Her recital dance this year was a tap dance to "Almost There" from the Princess and the Frog. I have a video of the rehearsal, but it is really poor quality.

Megan's First Communion

Megan received her First Holy Communion on May 16th.

Walking in...

Megan was chosen to read the second reading and she did awesome!

Waiting to receive communion...

With Molly & Emily...

We celebrated after church with a brunch at Hotel Roanoke.

Megan and Krista

Maybe it was better when we didn't try to get James to smile.

Of course we can't go downtown without letting James see the trains.

Easter 2010

Easter Bunny loot

James got a new "racey car" toy.

Megan got a new game for the Wii.

I actually got a picture of James smiling!!

Krista took some pictures with my camera. I have to find out from her how she took this in black and white. Or I could just read the manual I guess.

Grandma and Granddaddy got James a Thomas set that had a "peace sign" in it. A peace sign is what James calls railroad crossing signs. The set came with a Thomas, a baggage car and an oval track, but James was most excited about the peace sign.

I know my mom doesn't like her picture taken, let alone put on a blog for all the world to see, but I love this picture of her and Megan laughing. Megan had wanted to buy a Diary of a Wimpy kid book the week before, but my mom talked her out of it (because she had already bought it for her for Easter). When the Easter Bunny didn't bring it, Megan told Grandma that she was dead wrong about her getting the book for Easter. They are laughing about Megan being the one that was dead wrong after all. :)

Fishing

William took Megan on her first fishing trip April 3rd.

Practicing in the front yard so she wouldn't toss the whole pole into the pond.

Ready to fish with her new Barbie fishing pole and sunglasses.

First cast of the day and Megan's first fish. William couldn't get a better picture of them together because Megan didn't want to touch the fish and it was flopping around too much for her to hold it up higher. :)

Last cast of the day and Megan's second fish. Daddy caught two fish that day too.
