Today has been the worst Christmas ever in our house. My mom got sick last Friday night. Megan and James got sick on Saturday evening and then I had the pleasure of waking up sick this morning. William has a cold but hopefully this stomach virus won't hit him like it has the rest of us. I took a lot of pictures last night and this morning (not as many as I would have liked this morning, but I was dealing with other stuff too). I can't post them now because William took the camera to his parents so we can finish up his mom's Christmas present. I'd say I'll have them up soon, but knowing me, I won't. At least the kids are feeling better now, so it was just bad for me today (and William because he had to put up with me complaining about how sick I am). And we missed Mom's Christmas brunch today. At least I got to enjoy Christmas Eve dinner last night.
For those of you wondering why I chose a bad picture for our Christmas card this year, here are some examples of my other options. :) As you can see, I would get them situated but before the picture took, James would wonder off or start squirming. I need one of those cameras that take a bunch of pictures in just seconds so I can actually get a decent picture of James once in a while. He is learning to smile for pictures, but he doesn't normally do it until after it is taken. We're getting there though. This one was first runner-up. If Megan didn't have some weird buck tooth grin in it, I probably would have chosen this one. This one was the winner for those of you who did not receive a photo card this year. I was running around trying to get them done and out before an ice storm hit (which we never got anyway). Walmart's one-hour photo (where I normally get them done) was down so I went to Walgreens instead. They were way more expensive so I didn't order as many as I normally would. I tried to get all the people who do not live nearby and don't get to see them in person as much first. So please don't be offended if you didn't get one this year. It was purely poor planning on my part. I will be better prepared next year (hopefully). :)
