Yellow Bird

Everyone hates this song. When my grandmother would sing it to Matt he would pretend to fall asleep. Megan would cry and now James looks like he's about to cry when he hears it. Sorry, I can't figure out how to rotate it so its right-side up. Next time I'll just hold the camera right.

Salem Fair

Riding a pony.

At the petting zoo. No frisky kangaroos this year, Molly. :)

Flying elephants that Megan could not get off the ground. She was supposed to pull the bar in front of her to get it to go up and down. She did not grasp this concept although she did manage to get it to go up once.

Alligators

Jet skis.

On top of the ferris wheel. Megan was not scared at all. The two 9-year olds that we shared the ride with were though. They kept screaming that we were all going to die. Made for a pleasant ride.

Megan and the Krystal cheeseburger. The penguin she's holding she won herself by throwing a basketball into the basket. We picked that game because it said kids get a prize everytime, but she actually won a prize on her own.

Growing Up

No new pictures, but James cut his first (two!) teeth on Friday. Megan finished up preschool on Friday and we will be taking her for her kindergarten screening this Thursday. They are getting so big.

My New Obsession

I've bought some cloth diapers to try out on James. This is our first attempt at cloth. This is a pocket diaper and once you stuff the insert in it, it goes on just like a regular diaper. I haven't braved my prefolds yet, which are the kind of diapers used for ages. I do have a thing called a Snappy though so I don't have to use pins. Everyone thinks I'm crazy for doing this. I'm not doing it because its better for the environment or its cheaper (although those are probably the best reasons). I'm doing it because it I like the diapers. I promised William I wouldn't buy too many until I knew if I liked cloth diapering, but I have already made some selections on which diapers to buy next. I might get James a camo diaper next so William can take him hunting with him. :)

Big Boy Highchair

Here's James in his highchair for the very first time. Feeding him is much easier now. He's starting to sit up in his bouncy seat so it was hard to get him to sit still long enough to get the spoon to his mouth.

He's beginning to eat a little better now too. In addition to pears and bananas, I finally found another food that he tolerates -- avocadoes. He's doing his dopey, eyes-closed thing again - I'm not feeding him while he's asleep. :)

Megan's Graduation

Megan graduated from preschool tonight. She did so well during the ceremony. We could hear her singing over all the other kids and she smiled the whole time she was up there. Sorry the quality is so bad on the first picture. It had to be zoomed in. I really need a better camera.

Peek A Boo

I put James in his crib today so I could clean the bathrooms. He must have gotten bored because he taught himself how to lift up the bumper and see what's going on outside his crib.
