I'm Employed Now

My run as the world's worst housewife came to an end last month when I accepted a position at Total Action Against Poverty (TAP) teaching a Head Start classroom. I'm teaching 3 year olds and its been interesting so far. My mom has been nice enough to watch James for me while I'm at work so I know he's in good hands. And my hours allow me to at least get Megan off to school in the morning. I'm missing being home full time with them though. I do like the checks coming in though. :)

Really Old Crawling Video

I finally was able to get back into my YouTube account and upload some of the videos I have taken. This one was taken a long time ago (I think it was the 4th of July) when James was just starting to crawl. Its time for a new video because the little booger is now WALKING! He's been taking steps for a while but last night he walked across the room, from the loveseat to the couch. So I think it is safe to say he is officially walking at 10 months old. This is a lot different than Megan not walking at 16 months and me crying because I thought something was wrong with her. :)

Everyone loves the Golden Girls

James is starting to dance. I caught him dancing to the Golden Girls theme music one morning. He loves that show. :) He also loves the Comcast turtle commercials and Steve Johnson on Days of Our Lives (I think its the eyepatch).

Megan's Birthday

Megan turned 5 on September 21st. We celebrated with family that evening. She kept going back and forth wanting a My Little Pony cake and a Care Bears cake, so to avoid the crying months from now that she wanted whichever cake I didn't make her, I made a rainbow cake and put both My Little Pony and Care Bears on it. She got lots of presents. Lots of clothes, art stuff, money and Webkinz. Half of her money went to the bank and the other half went to buy even more Webkinz. :) I'm glad I posted this because we still have to send out thank you notes for all the gifts.
